Organize Your GPT-4o Chats with Folders
Folders help you organize your GPT-4o chats. Get4oBack lets you create folders, move conversations into them, and find what you need quickly. How folders work and tips for staying organized.
Why use folders
As your chat history grows, scrolling through a long list gets tedious. Folders let you group chats by project, topic, or purpose (e.g. work, personal, writing). You open a folder and see only the chats inside it. That makes it easier to pick up where you left off and keep things tidy.
How folders work in Get4oBack
In Get4oBack you can create folders from the sidebar or chat list. Name them (e.g. "Blog drafts" or "Support"), then move existing chats into a folder or start new chats inside one. You can rename or delete folders; moving a chat to a folder does not delete the conversation. Folders are available on all plans, including the free tier.
Tips for organizing
Use a few broad folders (e.g. Work, Personal, Writing) or many specific ones (e.g. per client or project). You can move a chat from one folder to another anytime. Combine folders with search: search looks across all chats, so you can find something even if you forget which folder it is in. Keeping chats organized from the start makes it easier to pick up where you left off and to stay within your token budget by focusing on the threads that matter.
Folders on all plans
Folders are included on Free, Plus, and Pro. You are not limited by plan - create as many folders as you need and move chats freely. If you delete a folder, the chats inside it are not deleted; they go back to the main list (or you can move them to another folder first). There is no nesting: folders are flat, so you have one level of organization. That keeps the UI simple and fast. For deeper structure, use clear folder names and combine with search when you need to find something.
Reordering and cleanup
You can reorder folders in the sidebar if the app supports it, so your most-used groups are at the top. To clean up, move old or finished chats into an archive-style folder or leave them in the main list and use search when you need them. Deleting a folder does not delete the chats - they return to the main list. If you want to remove a chat entirely, use the delete option on the chat itself. A little regular cleanup keeps the sidebar manageable without losing history.
Summary
Use folders in Get4oBack to organize your GPT-4o chats by project or topic. Create, rename, and move chats. Combine with search for quick finding. Same account, less clutter.
